Some paintings just cause me to look at them over several days. This is a perfect example. I have to study them. I have moved Red Sky all over the house. Turned it different directions. Used different lighting. Framed. Unframed. In the trash can. Out of the trash can. I finally chose this orientation and realized it is a painting needs a black frame. Some paintings stand alone and a frame will detract. The large expanse of red on Red Sky looks wonderful when it is separated from the wall by a simple black frame.
