Day 12 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

Flock of Seagulls
5"x5"
Oil and Cold Wax on Gessoed WC Paper
Sold

Another limited palette painting.  If I remember correctly, there was a yellow underpainting but then the upper layers are Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Light and Asphaltum.  The ominous sky really sets off a flock of seagulls looking their storm refuge.  My husband grew up on the coast.  He told me this is a common sight there.

  2. Nice. I love the colors you have chosen. Here in Indiana, we have the skies just black with crows, starlings and grackles. They are amazing to watch.
